A stenciled gift-booklet, given to Givat Brenner members who served as soldiers in 1946. On the first page: "to all drafted members/ wherever they are/facts and deeds/ in this album." The booklet contains naֳ¯ve illustrations and short texts describing the Kibbutz and eight original photographs of the Kibbutz daily life. The photographs are pasted within the booklet. [9] Leaves, 17X21 cm. Good condition. Folding-mark, minor tears and stains. Bibliographically unknown.

Sent by family members in Eretz Israel and from friends from various locations: Belgium, Italy, Holland, New York - the majority of writers also served in the Jewish brigade and in their letters they relate their experiences in the military service and the occurrences of the period, along with personal matters. About one hundred and twenty letters sent to Joseph Mann (Manni) of Kefar-Baruch, 1943-1946. Hebrew and German.
Mann joined the British Royal Air Force during World War II. Towards the end of the war he became ill and was hospitalized in a military hospital; his widowed mother (Fanya) was also hospitalized due to a sickness. The letters were sent by relatives and friends, some of whom served as soldiers in the Jewish Brigade. The letters reflect the induction of the Yishuv to the British forces during the war: letters from Kefar- Baruch members and the Galilee were sent to Joseph from Eretz Israel, Italy, Rhodes, Slovakia, Port-Said, Belgium and other places. Size varies. Generally in good condition.

The company was established in the summer of 1942 and was named "Solel Boneh" since it consisted of a group of volunteers who worked for "Solel Boneh". After serving in Egypt, in the Western Desert and in Tripoli and after constructing camps, restoring bridges and installing water-lines, the company was sent in March 1944 to Italy and built three army camps in Naples. Following the Allies' victory the company was transferred to Milan and early in 1946 was returned to the Middle East in preparation for the release of its members. 2X2 cm. Good condition.

Pendant in the shape of the emblem of the Jewish Brigade 1st Camouflage Company, [1940s]. Pendant in the shape of a Magen David, in its center a wolf in a lamb's fur (camouflage).
The 1st Camouflage Company was established in Cairo in May 1942. The commander was Major Eliezer Aharonov. Jewish and British soldiers served in this company. It acted along the El-Alamein line, conducted camouflage courses, built dummy bridges, artillery embankments etc. Acted in Libya and in November 1943 was moved to Italy. When the war ended this company assisted Jewish refugees in Bari. The company was dismantled at the beginning of 1946. Maximum size: 2 cm. Very good condition. Rare.

Five silver medallions, souvenir of Emperor Wilhelm II visit to Eretz Israel in 1898. Two medallions bear the emperor's portrait and on the reverse: 1. The Church of the Redeemer. 2. Combination of the Empire's emblems and Ottoman emblems. Three medallions bear the portraits of the royal couple, and on the reverse: 1. A dancing figure. 2. Combination of the Empire's emblems with Ottoman emblems. 3. Empire's emblem with an inscription. Good condition.

Cast bronze plaque with the portrait of Victor Adler. Austria, early 20th century. Under Adler's portrait appears the writing: "Im Befreiungskampfe des Proletariates Mitgewirkt zu Haben-Gibt dem Leben Sinn und Weihe" [in appreciation for participating in the struggle to liberate the proletariat, giving meaning and holiness to life]. Adler (1852-1918), an Austrian Social-Democrat politician of Jewish origin, who succeeded in uniting the various groups of the Austrian laborers movements. For a short period of time served as the foreign minister of German Austria. 10X9 cm. Good condition.
