Signatures of the Mekubal Rabbi "Ya'akov Lopez", and many glosses in his handwriting, on intentions of Pesach seder.
Rabbi Ya'akov [Lopez] Lopes (1887-1936), a leading Torah scholar and mekubal in Aleppo and Jerusalem, already as a young man was recognized as "one of the thirty six tzaddikim of his generation". In 1913, he immigrated to Jerusalem and joined the "Rechovot Hanahar" Yeshiva for mekubalim headed by his friend Rabbi Chaim Shaul Devich (Harav HaSadeh), and was renowned as one of greatest mekubalim who knew proper intentions of yichudim according to kabbalah. Written on his tombstone "The Rabbi, the Chassid, the G-dly Mekubal, Complete Tzaddikג€¦ Rabbi Ya'akov son of Rabbi Nissim Lopes, died 17th of Kislev 1936". See attached material.

Numerous signatures and scholarly glosses, most are signed "Mashiach".
The back of the title-page carries a note in a handwriting similar to the one featured on the books printed by the author and his son Rabbi Yom Tov Algazi, which are still stored in their manuscript form in Jerusalem.
"This book belongs to me, Avraham Shlomo HaLevi son-in-law of the great Rabbi HaMelitz" [Rabbi Avraham Shlomo HaLevi, one of the leading sages of Jerusalem, passed away in 1827]. Purchase inscription from year 1831 [bought from] Rabbi Moshe Yom Tov signed "Ishe". Dedication of the book to "the [Beit] Midrash of Rabbi Raphael Yosef Shalom son of Abdallah Moshe Chaim" [apparently related to the "Ben Ish Chai"]. Signature of "Goel Acharon Moshe HaCohen Trab", one of the sages of Aleppo and ink-stamps from Rabbi "Raphael David Kasachi Beirut" [related to the Kasachi family of Aleppo].
Rabbi Moshe Yom Tov, of the leading sages of Jerusalem between the 1820s-1850s, traveled in 1830 to Turkey and Aleppo as a fundraiser for Hevron, where he sold the book to "Ishe". The glosses signed "Mashiach" apparently belong to Rabbi Moshe Yom Tov himself. The book was later sold to Rabbi Moshe HaCohen Trab, one of the sages of Aleppo, who added glosses of his own and signed them "MTH".

Both volumes have signatures of Dov Aryeh Ritter, and dozens of his glosses and handwritten leaves, some especially long and scholarly. Some glosses are signed. In his glosses, the author copies and notes versions of manuscripts of his library and versions of manuscripts from the Sefardi Beit Midrash in Amsterdam and from old printings.
Rabbi Dov Aryeh Ritter Av Beit Din of Rotterdam (1855-1936, Otzar HaRabbanim 4612), a prominent Torah scholar renowned in Holland, had connections with great rabbis from all countries in regard to responsa and public leadership. With his brilliant breadth of knowledge, he discovered the forgery of the Yerushalmi Kodshim and was the first to write about it.
Two volumes; [1], 148; 114 leaves; 311 leaves. Approx. 38 cm. Good condition.

The author sent the pamphlets to the printer or publisher, and wrote on the cover: "All material for end of book, and I will send to his honor the material for the beginning of the book. All material for the book Ner Mitzvah" (two handwritten corrections on first pamphlet).
