The Ga'on Rabbi Yisrael Welcz (1887-1974. Otzar HaRabbanim 11910), rabbi in Tinia and chief Av Beit Din of Budapest; immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1946 where he was known as one of the greatest rabbis, participated in the editing and management of Otzar HaPoskim [treasury of Halachic rulings] and more. Author of Chok L'Yisrael.

On protective leaf of the first book, signature of Hillel Pollack. Rabbi Hillel Pollack (1810-1893, HaChatam Sofer V'Talmidav, pages 124-126), a disciple of the Chatam Sofer, who called him and his relative and friend "Kodesh Hillulim LaHashem". He was rabbi of Szֳ szrֳ©gen (Hungary) from 1866 until his death.
All the books have glosses handwritten by his grandson Rabbi Yisrael Freund, who also served in the Szֳ szrֳ©gen rabbinate, disciple of the author of Ktav Sofer and Rabbi Moshe Zvi Fuchs author of Yad Rama, and a prominent rabbi in Hungary. He together with his community were murdered in the Holocaust in 1944. While in Auschwitz, he delivered a testament to his son to print his writings.
In this book Yad Rama authored by his teacher Rabbi M. Z. Fuchs, Rabbi Freund writes his comments in awe and self-depreciation before his teacher: "I beg forgiveness from my Master, my Rebbe and I am dust under his feet but what shall I do since I did not understand his words¦ ". His stamp is in the second book.
Both books have signatures, and all books have stamps and glosses, from his son Rabbi David Yehuda Freund (died 1985), son in law of Rabbi Yechezkel Panet, Rabbi in Batiz, later his father's "assistant rabbi" in Szֳ szrֳ©gen and after that Rabbi of Kehilat Yerai'im in Bucharest. He survived the Holocaust, immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and served as rabbi in Netanya and afterwards in Jerusalem. He authored Alufei Yehuda.

Rabbi Ya'akov Ashkenazi Di Corona (died 1769), a Sefardi Torah scholar in Jerusalem, companion of Rabbi Yitzchak Zerachya Azulai - the Chida's father, a Jerusalem emissary to Turkey and Europe. During his missions, he met Torah leaders in European countries, and the Nodah B'Yehuda mentions him in a responsum "I was asked by the Perfect Chacham Ya'akov Dicorni [Di Corona] an emissary from Jerusalem¦" (Responsa Nodah B'Yehuda Tanina, 133).
