Forty-two souvenir postcards of Palestine, mounted on Bristol board leaves. The majority of the images are of Jerusalem and the rest of Nazareth, Jericho, Tiberias and Jordan. Most of the postcards were printed in Hamburg. At the beginning and the end of the album are two original photographs of the participants in front of the Dome of the Rock. Handwritten annotations on postcards and photographs, in German. Photographs 14.5x11.5cm, 17x12cm, album 32.5cm. Good condition.

Five real-photo postcards, two of which feature artist Ziona Tager (1900-1988), native of Jaffa, "First Holy Land artist”. Three bear a dedication in her handwriting: One is signed "Ziona Tager”; on another postcard dated 1919 she writes to her friend, “Let’s meet each other again, alive and healthy in our beloved land and city after a long and tough two-year exile” (reference to the expulsion of the residents of Tel-Aviv on the eve of Passover, 1917).

1. Machine plowing near the Kishon, Haifa, September 1927. Spanish description on the verso. 12x18cm. Fair condition. Tears, wrinkles and stains.
2. Photograph featuring a vegetable garden and fruit-bearing trees. Mounted on cardboard stamped “Tzalmania ‘Shulamit’, Haifa, Rehov HaShuk”, [1924]. 10x15cm, cardboard 16.5x24cm . Good condition.

Twelve photographs from the 1920s-30s relating to the construction of the power plant in Naharayim. Some are annotated and dated in pencil on the reverse (at a later date): "Surveyors under the ancient Roman bridge before starting construction in Naharayim", "A group of surveyors on its way to work near Naharayim", tents for the surveyors, and two photographs of Pinchas Rutenberg, one with Herbert Samuel and the other with Winston Churchill [1921]. Various sizes and conditions, [some are possibly later printings of the original photographs?].
