On three of the discs a dedication is etched or written: "In memory of her husband R' Zalman Ben Dov Golovov, who died on the 22nd of Nissan 1935"; "Yitzchak Mordechai Ben Zesman HaCohen here in Jerusalem 1911"; "Rodze Feigel Bat R' Shlomo Zalman HaCohen here in Jerusalem 1911."

A stand for a yahrzeit candle [or a Rosh Chodesh candle]. Cast with impressed and etched decorations. German or Poland?, 20th century.
Stand for yahrzeit candle in the shape of a four-cornered altar decorated with Stars of David impressed on its base. On the sides of the base are four plaques with protruding decorations of the constellations of Libra (scales), Pisces (fish), lion and kid. The sides of the stand are made of glass windows. Above the windows are four large Stars of David. At their vertex is another base shaped like and altar.
At the head of the stand is an eagle clutching in its claws the two tablets of law with the Ten Commandments hand-etched (on both sides) and supported by a pair of lions. The tablets of law are standing on a dome shaped like a Star of David.
We have never seen a similar item; presumably this was done by personal order.
Height of base: 18 cm. Maximal height: 37 cm. Width: 16 cm. Weight 3.5kg

An upright silver Channukah Lamp, donated as a gift to Synagogue in
Essen (the city or the district). Germany, the end of the 19th century, beginning
of the 20th century.
On the base of the Channukah Lamp is an enamel plaque with
the writing "a souvenir of the dedication of the new synagogue
of the Holy Community of Essen", held by two lions and
topped by a crown. Under the plaque is a silver plaque with
etching, "M. C. Lezer dedit A 5661" – 1901.
Assumedly, the Channukah Lamp was composed of two separate
pieces and thus it was given to the synagogue in Essen at
the time of its dedication (different silver stamps, on the base
stamps from Austria, on its upper part stamps from Germany).
The base of the Channukah Lamp is decorated with protruding
patterns of plants [used originally as a candlestick?]; its
upper part decorated with protruding smalls balls and simple etched geometric
shapes. The branches are also decorated with patterns of plants. At
the top of the Channukah Lamp, above the shamash – an eagle.
Height: 63.5cm, maximal width: 43cm, base diameter: 22cm. Weight: 2.5Kg.
