The Ga'on Rabbi Ya'akov Yokev Ettlinger (1798-1872, Otzar Ha-Rabanim 9805), chief rabbi of Altona and its provinces, a prominent leader of German Jewry and an opposer to the reform. Author of the books: "Aruch La-Ner" – on Mishnah tractates, "Bikurei Ya'akov", "Binyan Zion" book of responsum, "Minchat Ani" – on the Torah, and more. Founder and editor of the orthodox journal "Shomer Zion Ha-Ne'eman". Leading rabbis in Germany were his disciples amongst them Rabbi Shimshon Raphael Hirsch and Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer.

He sided with the Chatam Sofer on his war against the Reform Rabbi Aharon Churiner (Ache"r) who wanted to authorize the consumption of the Tik (Shtirel) fish. See in his book “Makel No’am” (Vienna, 1899).
Few handwritten glosses in the margins by different authors.

Rabbi Pinchas Rabinowitz (1861-1926, Ozar Ha’Rabbanim 16957), was Admor in Kantikozva (Charson region). He filled the position of his father, Rabbi Yitzchak Yo'el, who served as Admor in Linitz. He is described as a “tremendous genius in all facets of the Torah”. His composition “Avodat Yitzchak” on the Torah remained handwritten. Among his sons: Rabbi Ya'akov Yisrael the “Admor from Charson”, and Rabbi Menachem Nachum Rabinowitz Av Beit Din of Haifa. Among his sons-in-law: the Admorim Moshe from Stolin and Rabbi Yitzchak from Square. (For additional information related to him see: Alfasi, Encyclopedia of Hassidism, volume 3, page 539).

The Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Kahana, Av Beit Din Spinka (1884-1944, Otzar Ha-Rabanim 17314), son of Admor Rabbi Nachman, author of "Orchot Hayim" (son in law of the "Imrei Yosef" of Spinka, and descendent of the author of "Kuntres Ha-Sfekot"), son in law of the Admor Baruch Rubin of Gherla. Served as Rabbi and Admor after his father. Murdered in the Holocaust. All his writings were lost.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager of Vishova (1885-1941, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, III, pp. 95-96), son of "Ahavat Yisrael" of Vizhnitz. Since 1908 served as Rabbi of Vizhnitz. As of 1921 Av-Beit-Din Vishova, where he established the "Beit Yisrael" Yeshivah. Of "Aggudat Yisrael" leaders and a member of "Mo'etzet Gedoley Ha-Torah".
