The Ga'on Rabbi Shmuel Heller (1786-1884, Otzar Ha-Rabanim 19134), was raised in the Seer of Lublin's house and was advised by the Seer to move to Eretz Yisrael. Served as rabbi of Safed for sixty years. (His biography and the history of Safed were depicted in the book "The Rabbi The Leader and The Doctor – Safed, 1989).
On title page appear ink stamps of Rabbi "Yitzchak Isaac Deitsch" of Tiberias, son of Rabbi David Natan Deitsch Av-Beit-Din Kretchnif.
