The First Three Books Published by "Omanut"

The following three books are the first books published in "Gamaliel" Library by ‘Omanut’ publishing. These are translations of books first published by the Rusian "Knebel" publishing house that printed the most magnificent and original children's books in Moscow at the beginning of the twentieth century. The books were first printed in Odessa and reprinted in Frankfurt. In front of us are the three editions printed in Frankfurt in 1922:
1. The Nightingale, a fairy tale by Andersen, illustrations by A. [Georgy Ivanovitch] Narbut. ‘Omanut’ "Gamaliel" library, Frankfurt am Main- Moscow - Odessa, Frankfurt am Main [1922]. [12 pages], 27 cm. Fair – good condition. Tears, creases and stains.
2. A Magical Ship (Oniyat Ksamim), a fairy tale by W. Hauff, Illustrations by D. Mitrohin. ‘Omanut’ "Gamaliel" library, Frankfurt am Main-Moscow-Odessa, [1922]. Fairy tale by Wilhelm Hauff, accompanied by colorful illustrations by Dmitry Mitrohin. [12 pages]. Good condition. Damages to spine.
3. The Ship and the Barge, a fairy tale by R. [Richard] Gustafson. Illustrations by D. [Dmitry] Mitrohin. ‘Omanut’ "Gamaliel" library, Frankfurt am Main - Moscow - Odessa [circa 1922]. [12 leaves]. Good condition. Few stains, mostly on the cover.
