Several inscriptions on the endpaper of Vol. I, attesting that the book belongs to Rebbe Yaakov Aryeh of Radzymin. On title page of Vol. I, stamp of his grandson, Rebbe Menachem Mendel Gutterman of Radzymin.

The author, R. David Shlomo Eybeschutz (1755-1814), was a prominent Chassid and rabbi of Soroca. In 1809, he immigrated to Eretz Israel and settled in Safed. His relative R. Levi Yitzchak of Berdychiv praises him in his approbation to Levushei Serad as "astute and well-versed in Torah as the sages of old, and all his deeds are performed for the sake of Heaven". R. Eybeschutz authored many compositions, including the famous halachic work Levushei Serad. His book Arvei Nachal became a classic Chassidic text, reprinted in over 20 editions.
Rebbe Yaakov Aryeh Gutterman of Radzymin (1792-1874), was a leading rebbe in Poland. A prominent disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin and a beloved disciple of the Maggid of Kozhnitz, he particularly frequented the Peshischa court of the Yehudi HaKadosh and of R. Bunim of Peshischa and was considered one of their foremost disciples together with the Seraf of Kotsk, R. Yitzchak of Warka and the Chidushei HaRim. After the passing of R. Yitzchak of Warka, he was appointed rebbe to thousands of Chassidim and under his leadership, Radzymin became a Chassidic nucleus drawing thousands of followers.
Rebbe Aharon Menachem Mendel Gutterman of Radzymin (1860-1934), only son of Rebbe Shlomo David Yehoshua of Radzymin, was a prominent rebbe in Poland. In 1912, he established a yeshiva in Radzymin. He left behind over one hundred manuscripts, of which only some have been printed.
Two volumes. Vol I: [2], 1-14, 16-35, [1], 36-48, 53-102, 97-98; 41 leaves. Vol. II: [1], 43-85, 87-168 leaves. Misfoliation. Approx. 23 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Dampstains. Wear. Worming affecting text. Tears, including open tears, some repaired with paper. Many inscriptions on endpaper of vol. I. Stamps. New leather bindings.
