Rebbe Ze'ev Twersky of Rachamstrivka, son of Rebbe Yochanan of Rachamstrivka, served as rebbe together with his brother Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Rachamstrivka after their father's death in 1895. In 1926, Rabbi Menachem Nachum ascended to Jerusalem and in 1935, also Rabbi Ze'ev arrived in Jerusalem where he died in 1937.
His son Rabbi Nachum Moshe Twersky of Kovel was murdered with his whole family in the Holocaust of European Jewry.
