Announcement regarding Deir Yassin affair - response to the Yellow Proclamation (in response to the yellow star) issued by the Hagana. Jerusalem, Nissan 1948.
"We have already explained the military reasons which necessitate holding onto Deir Yassin. Without further ado, we hereby publicize the letter from the Hagana in the Jerusalem area…"
In the Hagana letter shown in the proclamation, it says that it was the Hagana's intention to defeat Deir Yassin, as part of the Irgun's greater plans.
