Amtachat Binyamin, on Kohelet, by R. Binyamin, the Maggid of Zalozitz (Zaliztsi). Minkovitz (Mynkivtsi): Yosef son of Yitzchak, Yechezkel son of Shevach and Moshe son of the above Yosef, [1796]. First edition.
The work ends in the middle of chapter 9, since the author passed away while still in the process of writing.


The author, R. Binyamin, Maggid of Zalozitz (d. 1791), was well-versed both in revealed and kabbalistic realms of the Torah. A contemporary of the Baal Shem Tov and early Chassidic masters, he was one of the first disseminators of Chassidic teachings.

[2], 1-13, 18-128 leaves. 19.5 cm. Most leaves in good-fair condition; first and last leaves in fair condition. Stains, including dampstains (large dampstains and dark stains on final leaves). Open tears to title page and several other leaves, slightly affecting title frame and text, restored with paper filling (text supplied in handwriting and facsimile). Worming, affecting text, restored with paper filling. Stamps on several leaves. New leather binding.
