Five advertisement cards for meat extract, made by Liebig Extract of Meat Company. Printed in Belgium, [late 19th or early 20th cent.].
Illustrations of Jewish nature are printed on the cards: Jews praying next to the Western Wall, High Priest in the Temple and Jews study around a table (two cards appear in two copies). Next to the illustrations appears an illustration of the meat extract jar, invented by the German chemist Justus von Liebig of the 19th cent. Presented here are cards in French and German.
