Terracotta plaque with a figure of a Yemenite wise man, made by Meir Gur-Aryeh. “Menorah” group (part of “Bezalel”) Bezalel, [1913-1919]. Terracotta. Signed with initials “MG” [Meir Gur-Aryeh] in the upper right corner. Figure of a Yemenite wise man, inscription: “Yemenite wise man”. Among members of the “Menorah” group were Ze’ev Raban, Meir Gur-Aryeh and Samuel Persov. All works by the group were made of terracotta using a mould. Height: 15 cm., width: 9 cm, depth: 1 cm.
