Halachic response, by Rabbi Ezuz Maman of Fez. The addressee is Rabbi Raphael Maman of Sefrou. Ca. 1830?
The letter concerns a gloss. Rabbi Ya'akov Siriro is mentioned [a leading sage of Fez, died 1851 at the age of 82]. He also copies a gloss by Rabbi Harash Even Danan.
Over the leaf appears the name of the addressee in Sefrou, with warning not to break the boycott and not open the letter on its way to the receiver.

The letter was sent to "New vial of old wine… Rabbi Re'ach Sadeh".
The contents of the letter is of significant interest to the history of the communities in Eretz Yisrael. Regarding financial matters and distribution of money, community matters, Shochatim, synagogues, education and more. The letter tells of letters recived in the past from "The great Rabbis of Jerusalem, headed by the King, the Rishon Litzion…". Also mentioned are the visit of Rabbi "Agan" [Avraham Gagin] and Rabbi Yehuda Nechmad in their community and more. The signees are probably the heads of the community.
It is possible that the receiver of the letter is the Eretz Yisrael emissary Rabbi Yosef Chaim Shreem (1850-1949), who left in 1899 on a mission on behalf of Hebron Kollels to Iraq, Persia and India. See more about him in the book "Ha-Shaliach Ha-Noded", A. Ben Ya'akov, Jerusalem, 1982.

Two letters from Beit-Din of Aleppo region, sent to Beit-Din in Haifa.(1935).
Letters concerning divorce of a couple from Aleppo, the husband went to Haifa and his wife was in Beirut. Signed by Chief Rabbi Moshe Ezra Mizrahi, Rabbi Zion Laniado, Rabbi Ezra Hamawe. Handwritten inscriptions signed by Rabbi Eliyahu Rayna, Chief Rabbi of Haifa.
Second letter is a carbon copy.

The writer is the holy Ga'on Rabbi Shalom Lofes (1904-1994), born in Aleppo, son of Rabbi Ya'akov Lofes. In 1912 they arrived in Jerusalem. Was a leading sage in Yeshivat Porat Yosef. Served in the rabbinate in Acre for about fifty years, and was well known as a scholar. Published books to encourage praying at sunrise.
3 leaves, about 21 cm. Fair condition, dry paper, slight damages and foxing placed in plastic lamination for preservation.

Letter of testimony from Rabbi Chaim Araki and Rabbi Yisrael Yichya Medina (of the Yemenite community). From a rabbinic court session held in Jerusalem, signed by the rabbis participating and stamped with the ink-stamp of the Beit Din: Rabbi moshe Nachum Wallenstein, Rabbi Mordechi Leib Rubin and Rabbi Yitzchak Frankel. Jerusalem, (1920).
Letters regarding inheritance will which husband left for wife, which was written not according to law (by Mr. David Yellin). After the rabbis proclaimed the will invalid, the woman procured a forged document signed by false witnesses.
