Its security, independence and very existence depend on the yishuv's fortitude in war and the people's skill in reviving the soil of the homeland and establishing independent Jewish seamanship… HaHevel HaYami LeIsrael calls on our government – the Government of Israel – and on the Jewish people: Let us strengthen our power on the seas!"

A poster in color, in lithographic printing, making an iconic use of the portrait of Zeev Jabotinsky, the spiritual leader of the movement. The text underneath the portrait reads: "Oz Chayal, Ness Amal, Yagbihenu El-Al". This line, from the poem "Shir El-Al" by Jabotinsky, was the slogan of Herut towards the election to the constituent assembly in 1949.
