A book for the study of Yiddish, in a Soviet format, which does not include final letters and spells words of Hebrew origin according to the new Yiddish spelling rules. The book was published by the "Yevsektsiya", the Jewish section of the Soviet Communist Party. The letters of the "Alef Bet" were decorated by Michail Ya [Yoffe], and next to each letter appears a short rhymed poem about it. The book features verse and short stories in Yiddish as well as a chart comparing Yiddish and Cyrillic Alphabet.

A textbook for learning Yiddish by poet Eliezer Steinberg (1880-1932). The illustrations were done by artists who were members of the artistic division of Kultur Lige in Chernowitz. Most of the book's illustrations, done by Arthur Kolnik, are a rare example of his early graphics. Additional illustrations by Rubin Zelikovitch (Rubin) and Solomon Lerner.
