Two souvenir albums with photographs of views and sites in Jerusalem and its surroundings alongside pressed flowers (the photographs and pressed flower arrangements are captioned in English, French and Italian).
The title pages and several of the photographs in the two albums are identical. The publisher's name and the publishing place – "Vassilios A. Rittas – Jerusalem & Haifa" – are noted on one cover.
Two albums, [10] ff. in each (with tissue guards), 24X18 cm. Good overall condition. Stains (mainly to tissue guards). Minor blemishes to pressed flowers. Blemishes and minor wear to bindings.

The collection contains black-and-white and color postcards and cards, both lithographic and chromolithographic, of several series, printed on papers of varying thickness. These depict Christian sites throughout Palestine, as well as general views of cities and the countryside of Palestine. Some depict biblical scenes.
The postcards and cards were sold as souvenirs to tourists, and are therefore captioned in several languages (Russian, Greek, Ge'ez, French and English).
Most cards with blank verso. Several cards with postage stamps and postmarks on recto. Several duplicates.

on its front, a picture of ten members of the Humanitas Jewish charity organization (Israelitischer Wohltätigkeits-Verein Humanitas) in Berlin, standing on the backdrop of the flag of the organization on the day of the consecration of the flag. The flag reads "Bikkur Cholim" (Hebrew) with an illustration of two hands holding one another.

The Humanitas organization was established in Berlin in the 1890s. In 1910, the organization had more than 300 members who enjoyed free medical services by five physicians employed by the organization (as mentioned in a speech delivered by Salo Kunz, chairman of the organization and one of its founders, in a fundraiser held in Berlin in January 1901. See: Der Gemeindebote, a supplement of the journal Allgemeinen Zeitung des Judenthums, year 65, issue no. 6. Berlin, February 8, 1901. p. 1).
