3-12. Ten envelopes that were sent in the Israeli mail and bear a special postmark in honor of Israel joining the UN, from May 12, 1949 – "Israel – a member of the United Nations" (Hebrew), which depicts both the flag of Israel and the emblem of the UN. Size varies. Fair to good condition.
On May 11, 1949, the United Nations General Assembly approved, by a majority of two thirds, the request to let Israel join the UN, this after it was denied by the United Nations Security Council several times during 1948-1949.

First day of issue cover, "Fouga CM 170, Israel Aircraft Industries", marking the day of delivery of the first plane to the Israel Air Force". Lod, airport, July 6, 1960.
An envelope issued for the ceremony of the delivery of the first plane to the Israel Air Force (the planes were made in France), attended by the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, David Ben-Gurion, who gave the plane the name "Snunit" (Swallow). The cover is signed (in pen) by the then Air Force Commander, Ezer Weizmann, and by the representatives of the French air force.
10X17 cm. Good condition. Minor stains.

The checkbooks and banknotes were issued by the banks: "Bank Kupat Ha'am", "Metropolin Bank", the "Anglo-Palestine Bank", the "Barclays Bank", "Bank HaOlim Eretz Yisrael – Polania", and "Bank America-Eretz Yisrael". Some of the checks and stubs were filled in by hand, are stamped and bear postage stamps.
Some checks remain in each checkbook.
Enclosed: a receipt issued by "Keren HaKoneh Ltd." (The Buyer's Fund) (not filled-in).
Size and condition vary. Good-fair overall condition.

The "Bizur" company was established in 1936 by "Keren Choser Avodah" (Unemployment Fund) of the Histadrut Labor Federation and the Jewish Agency in order to help ease unemployment in Palestine. The company gave loans for funding the establishment of workers' neighborhoods, paving roads, building bridges, building public buildings, and more. In 1959, Hapoalim Bank purchased the shares of the company.
