Nineteen calling cards, notices and advertisements that were issued by small business. Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, [ca. 1930s to early 1950s].
On verso of most of the cards appears the logo of the business, and some are decorated with illustrations and designed frames. Among the businesses: "Expert watchmaker Avraham Vernikov"; "Special workshop for typewriters 'Ezra'"; "Elegant dresses, Bracha Salon"; and others.
Enclosed: two photographs and an envelope with the logo of the "M. Gamzu photo studio"; invitation card to the inauguration of a Torah scroll in a synagogue in Jerusalem.

"Jerusalem Guide", [edited by Yom Tov Hel-Or]. Jerusalem: The "Jerusalem Guide", 1948.
A guide with addresses and telephone numbers of stores, factories and businesses in Jerusalem; a list of the various national and public institutions in the town; "a guide for the Old and New City of Jerusalem"; and a chapter introducing short reviews of the educational institutions and aid organizations active in the city. The guide also contains several advertisements for various businesses.
The guide was edited by Yom Tov Hel-Or (1908-2008). In 2015, the guide was reprinted at the initiative of Hel-Or's sons, with a preface in which it is told that the printing house where the first guide was printed was bombed in 1948 and therefore, the guide was nor distributed.
10, 80 pp, approx. 24.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains, including dampstains. Creases and minor blemishes to margins. Small wormholes. Stained and damaged cover, with tears to spine (partly detached).

The photograph depicts a large crowd, including many British military men, looking upon the canopy that was erected at the site of the laying of the cornerstone. Dated in the plate: "Tu BeAv 5678 Jerusalem". (15th of Av 1918).

Ca. 1924. * Issue no. 8 of the journal The New Palestine published by the Zionist Organization of America, which was dedicated to the opening of the Hebrew University. An informational booklet about the Temple Mount (Al-Haram Al-Sharif) – description of its structures, their history and significance, instructions for maintaining the sanctity of the compound, and more. Accompanied by seven photographs: a view of the Temple Mount, Sabil Qaitbay, the summer pavilion, the Dome of the Rock, the Foundation Stone, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The booklet was published at the initiative of the Supreme Muslim Council, an institution that represented the religious interests of the Arab population in Palestine during 1922-1948.
16 pp, 24 cm. Good-fair condition. The leaves are detached one from the other and from the cover. Filing holes (slightly affecting the text). Creases. Wormhole in all leaves. Some stains. A corner of the back cover (entrance ticket?) is torn off.
