Two invitation cards and a postcard issued by the Tel-Aviv Municipality for the events of Purim, the Maccabiah games and the Levant Fair. Tel-Aviv, [1932]. Hebrew, English, French and German.
Toward the spring of 1932, the Tel-Aviv Municipality handed out invitations and postcards to the resident of the town, to be sent to their friends and relatives abroad inviting them to visit Palestine.
The objective was to encourage tourism to Tel-Aviv and to brand it as a modern city capable of offering international events. Under the title "Spring Enterprises", the following events took place for the first time: the Purim carnival, the Maccabiah games and the Levant Fair.
Before us are two invitation cards (in English and in French) and a postcard (German) captioned "Visit Palestine this Spring". An identical illustration appears on all three: a teeming street in Tel-Aviv, with the "flying camel" emblem, the emblem of the "Maccabiah" games and the emblem of the Tel-Aviv Municipality with a Purim mask.
Approx. 9x14cm. Good condition. A few minor stains and blemishes. The postcard was sent by mail (pen writing and a postage stamp on verso).

Hebrew, English and Arabic.?A catalogue printed for the Levant Fair in 1934, held in Tel-Aviv between the dates 26.4-26.5. The catalogue includes greetings from Arthur Wauchope and trade ministers from the participating countries, as well as lists of exhibitors (in alphabetic order, by country of origin and by kind of merchandise), two photomontage works showing the exhibition facilities and the visitors, four maps and more. The catalogue also includes a significant section with advertisements, many of which are illustrated, of various commercial enterprises in Palestine.?[402] pp, (varying pagination) + [4] maps, approx. 30.5 cm. A booklet detailing the health advantages of drinking milk and the need to increase its consumption: "In order to reach the level of the cultured, the Hebrew Yishuv needs to increase its usage of milk at least twice".
The booklet contains 27 recipes which use milk products: soups and porridges, first and main courses, desserts, beverages, and more.
The complete text is vowelized and accompanied by pictures and illustrations. The front cover is illustrated as well.

Four photographs by the photographer Yancoglou from Athens (signed on verso): the players of the Palestinian team on the field, players of both teams in a group photograph on the field, judges and captains of both teams in a ceremony of flag exchange prior to the game, group photograph of activists and organizers of the game. One photograph bears a dedication handwritten by the photographer on verso; on three photographs appears the pencil writing "Fuchs" (on verso).

The bulletin contains reports about the riots of the Arabs in various settlements, data on the number of Muslim, Jewish and Christian victims and an update regarding hundreds of British policemen and military men who were brought from Jordan, Egypt and Malta to suppress the riots and bring peace back to the area.

The official proclamation of the High Commissioner for Palestine John Chancellor subsequent to the 1929 Palestine Riots; published upon Chancellor's return to Palestine from England.
In the proclamation, Chancellor blames the Arabs for the outbreak of the Riots, announces the termination of the negotiations in favor of the Arabs in England and commits himself to realize the principles of the White Paper: "I have returned from the United Kingdom to find to my distress the country in a state of disorder and a prey to unlawful violence… I have learned with horror of the atrocious acts committed by bodies of ruthless and bloodthirsty evil-doers… upon defenceless members of the Jewish population… I initiated discussions with the Secretary of State when in England on the subject of constitutional changes in Palestine. In view of recent events I shall suspend these discussions with His Majesty's Government…"

6 volumes, number of pages varies. 23.5 cm. Good overall condition. Stains. A few creases and tears. Five of the volumes were re-bound with new bindings on to which pieces of the original bindings were mounted.
