Otto Geismar (1873-1957) was an art teacher at the Jewish Community School in Berlin during 1904-1936. In 1930, he spent a few months in Palestine. In 1939, he and his wife relocated to Brazil and after World War II, moved to England. The name of the scribe "Writing of the scribe Weisenberg" (Hebrew) is printed at the end of the scroll.
The scroll is enclosed in its original paper wrapping (torn).
Height: 20.5. Overall good condition. Few tears and small open tears to the margins of the scroll. Creases. Few stains. Spotting and tears to paper wrapping.

The haggadah is supplemented by an introduction by Emeric Szabo in Romanian and instructions for performing the Seder rites translated into Romanian by Dr. Rudolph (Yisrael) Kastner (member of the Budapest Committee of Assistance and Rescue, which operated during the Holocaust and organizer of various rescue operations during the Holocaust, including the "Kastner train").

This copy includes one cover only (not including the cover on which the letter "A" is printed within a blue-red circle), and was printed without the title page and introduction in English found in the "A Haggadah".

Passover Haggadah, published by "Dror” [movement], German Diaspora [probably Munich], 1947. Hebrew and Yiddish.
Non-traditional Haggadah, printed for members of the Zionist-Socialist movement "Dror" in Germany, after the Holocaust. During the war, the movement’s members infiltrated into Warsaw, acted in the occupied German zone in Poland and in the Ghettos, continued to run a training farm, were among the founders of the Jewish Combat Organization, and participated in the Warsaw Ghetto uprising and in actions of resistance in other Polish cities.
The Haggadah contains photocopies from another non-traditional Haggadah (Hebrew) with additional interesting texts concerning current affairs, all dealing with the Holocaust (Yiddish): a text titled “Fruehling” [spring], an alternative version of “Ma Nishtana” about the holocaust, passages from Yitzchak Katzenelson’s poem “I Dreamt an Atrocious Dream” (composed in Vittel concentration camp in France, in 1943, about one year before the poet was murdered in Auschwitz), a text about Yitzchak (Antek) Zuckermann and Zvia Lubatkin (“Dror” and Jewish Combat Organization members), a poem by Morris Rosenfeld (“Undzer Shif” – Our Boat) and other texts about the Holocaust and heroism.

A text in Yiddish is included, titled "Yetzi'at Europa", referring to the Holocaust and to Aliya; following it appears an illustration of the Cyprus Internment Camp. Further on appear a poem and text in Yiddish titled "Gli'yat Kafrisin" and a Hebrew text which was probably written in Palestine to encourage the refugees in the camps: "….if ships carrying Jewish refugees are wandering – let them come to their homeland and be with us…".
