The Question whether a Jew born within the British Dominions was, before the Making the Late Act of Parliament, a Person Capable by Law to Purchase and Hold Lands to Him and His Heirs, [by Phillip Carteret Webb]. Printed for J. Roberts, London, 1753. English.
In 1753 the British Parliament legislated the law of naturalization named "The Jews Law" permitting Jews to be naturalized in Britain. This composition deals with the question whether prior to the legislation of the above law Jews were permitted to hold lands and studies the history of the rights granted to Jews in Britain until the date of publication of this composition. The author notes the law permitting Jews who lived for seven years in British colonies in America to be naturalized. The "Jews Law" was met by opposition and was cancelled in 1753.

A souvenir booklet from a fair organized by the Jewish community in Leeds on December 1-3, 1936; all proceeds were to go to JNF. The booklet includes lists of people in charge of the fair, greetings (by Menachem Ussishkin and Chaim Weizmann, among others), essay about the challenges involved in developing the country, translation of a poem by Tchernichovsky, list of booths in the fair, and more. On the front cover appears an illustration in color of a woman-worker, by Jacob Kramer (1892-1962), a Jewish artist born in Ukraine and active mainly in Leeds.
The copy presented here was bound in a hard binding together with the original cover (apparently soon after printing). The volume opens with about 50 signatures by hand, among them signatures by Zelig (Asher) Brodetzky (1888-1954), second president of the Hebrew University; Leopold Amery (1873-1955), a senior British politician and a co-author of the Balfour Declaration; signatures by the organizers of the Palestine Bazaar; and more. Alongside the signatures appears a printed dedication (English) indicating that the signed copy is a gift to David Fox, one of the organizers.

The first two chapters are an English translation of the book "Israël en de Volken" [Israel and the Nations] by Isaac da Costa (1798-1860), a Jewish-Dutch poet and author who converted to Christianity. The last two chapters, by Bertram Brewster and Cecil Roth, focus on the Capadose Family, prior to and after their conversion to Christianity.
The book contains 43 picture-plates in black and white and one plate in color, depicting people as well as objects and documents from the collection of the Capadose family. Each picture is accompanied by a tissue guard with a caption.

Issue 4, dated 16.5.1929. * HaZerem, weekly of "Tarbut" Hebrew Gymnasium in Kovel, edited by Y. Virnik and I. Loewenberg. Two issues: first year booklet no. 3, dated 13.12.1929; second year booklet no. 6, dated 7.3.1930.
4. Approval form for participation in a trip, typewritten on official stationery of "Tarbut" Hebrew Gymnasium in Kovel [Gimnazjum koedukacyjne żydowsk. stowarzyszenia kulturalno-oświatowe "Tarbut" w Kowlu]. Given to the stuent Rywka Bar on 24.9.1929. Ink-stamped with the school's stamp. Polish.
5. "Graduation Certificate" on behalf of "Hebrew School 'Herzliya' in Kovel". Given to Rywka Bar for graduation in 1921. Signed by the principal and the teachers, and ink-stamped with school's stamp.

Three group photographs of Zionist students in East Europe: * Kindergarten of "Tarbut" in Trisk, 1932 (dedicated by hand on the back): Class 8, "Tarbut" gymnasium in Kovel (twelve hand-signatures on the reverse); "D-borochov Kibutz HaMeuchad, Lodz group", on the day of their arrival in Palestine, 28.11.1932 (on the back appears the title "Rywka Bar Kovel"). The three photographs are titled in the plate.
