Anti-Semitic illustrations appear in the papers: illustrations on the subject of the Dreyfus Affair; illustrations of Jews concerning political matters, and more. Among the items: five issues of La Bastille; four issues of L'assiette au Buerre; three issues of Le Rire; two issues of L'univers Illustré; Les Juifs (issue of the magazine Crapouillot, dedicated to Jews); and more.
Enclosed: an engraving depicting the ordination ceremony of Rabbi Zadok Cohen (1839-1905) as chief rabbi of France; an engraving of the Wandering Jew (partly in color, matted).
One item was printed in Bologna.
Size and condition vary. Overall good-fair condition. Tears (most of them slight, to spine and margins), folding marks and creases. Front wrapper of Crapouillot – detached.
