Memorial album with approx. 400 portraits of fallen Jewish soldiers of the Bulgarian army who fell during 1912-1918. [Sophia?, late 1910s or early 1920s?]. Bulgarian.
At the beginning of the album, two color prints (printed title page with a Hebrew inscription and an illustration of Jerusalem, both signed in the plate "Neubert") followed by 80 black-and-white printed plates with the fallen's portraits, their names and years of life (five portraits on each plate). On the cover, two portraits of biblical heroes – Moses and King David (the illustration is signed in the plate ф. Шламбор).
[40] leaves (printed on both sides) + [2] color plates, approx. 25X18 cm. Fair condition. Stains. Tears and open tears along edges (most of them small). The front cover, one of the leaves and the two prints are detached (the prints are reconnected with tape). Open tears to spine. Possibly, the back cover is missing.
