Two publications dealing with the German translation of the books of Nevi'im Rishonim. Vienna, 1816. German in Hebrew characters.
1. Etvas tsur eynzicht fir das izraelitishe publicum, by Shmuel Detmold. Vienna: Anton Schmid press, 1816.
A composition by Shmuel Detmold (1765-1829), a member of the Jewish Enlightenment Movement and one of the initiators of translating the bible into German, which criticizes the German translation of "Nevi'im Rishonim" edited by Aaron Falk (Vienna: G. Holzinger Press, 1814).
37 leaves, approx. 21 cm. Good condition. Stains. Creases and minor blemishes. Pencil notations (on the cover and title page).
