A portfolio with 11 plates of reproductions of woodcuts by Arthur Kolnik – characters from the stories of I.L. Peretz, Shalom Aleichem, A. Lutzky, Moyshe Kulbak, Moyshe Nadir and M.L. Halpern. The portfolio also contains an original woodcut by Kolnik – a portrait of the Jewish-Romanian actor Hertz Grosbard (1895-1994).
Copy no. 86 of a deluxe edition of 100 copies. Numbered and signed by Kolnik on the colophon.
[8] pp, [1] woodcut (approx. 17x21 cm) and [11] reproduction plates, all in an original portfolio, 37cm. Good overall condition. Handwritten dedication on the colophon page (in English, dated 1964).
