A composition by the French priest, mathematician and theologist Bernard Lamy (1640-1715) about Jerusalem, the Temple, the tabernacle and the work of the Jewish priests, with 20 engraved plates (some of them folded) – illustrations of Noah's Ark, the Tower of Babel, the Tabernacle, the territories of the twelve tribes, the Holy Ark, the Showbread, the Cherubs, the Menorah, the Sanhedrin and the clothes of the priests, a map of Jerusalem and more.
[14] leaves, 1361 columns (i.e. 1360), [30] leaves + [20] plates (nine of them folded). Two of the 30 unnumbered leaves at the end of the book are bound between columns 1239-1330. Seven of the 14 unnumbered leaves at the beginning of the book are bound in other copies at its end. Approx. 38 cm. Good overall condition. Tears to the margins of three of the plates (two of them open, not affecting the engraving). Stains. Minor creases. The front endpaper is cut, with (old) handwriting. Parchment binding, with an impressed decoration at its center. Paper strips glued to the binding. Missing spine.
