Two large format photographs – en-face and profile – of a Jew in Morocco, by Ludwig Jindra, [Morocco, 1930s].
Each photograph is mounted on a cardboard board and ink-stamped with the photographer's stamp, on the corner and on verso of the cardboard. The photographs are titled on the cardboard by hand, in English, and numbered (520 and 521).
The Czech photographer Ludwig Jindra (? – 1985) was commissioned by his government in the 1930s to conduct a "world tour" and record his travels photographically. During his tour, he photographed in the Middle East, North Africa and the Far East.
Photographs: 37.5X30 cm, cardboard boards: 37.5X31.5 cm. Good condition. Some stains. Slight damages to margins of photographs.
