A book about a voyage to Palestine by the clergyman Jean Doubdan who travelled to Palestine in 1652. Accompanied by ten engraved plates (out of which five are folding plates) depicting sites in the country - Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, Mount Carmel, Mount Tabor, and more.
[6] leaves, 664, [8] pp + [10] engraved plates (possibly missing one or more engravings), 21.5 cm. Good condition. Stains. Front endpaper is almost completely detached. Ink inscription on front endpaper. Tears and defects to some of the engraved plates (several plates are mounted on paper for restoration). Bound in a leather binding, damaged. Tears to spine and corners of binding.
