Sikhes Khulin – Ina fun di Geshichten, Moyshe Broderson, illustrations by Eliezer Lissitzky. Published by Leben, Moscow, 1917.
Story by Moshe Broderson, accompanied by illustrations and artistic typography by El (Eliezer) Lissitzky. Following the 1917 Revolution, Broderson established the “Group for Jewish National Aesthetics” in Moscow together with artists El Lissitzky, Yissakhar Ber Ryback and Yosef Tchaikov; the booklet is an example of this cooperation. Yiddish.
[9] leaves, 23.5x30 cm. Poor condition. Ink stamp. The nine leaves are torn in two at the center (see picture) and have been restored using professional adhesive tape. The paper is brittle and delicate, tearing on the margins; last page is torn with a piece missing. With elegant cloth cover.
