11 letters by psychoanalyst Theodor Reik, sent to William Wolf in the United States, 1959-1960. Letters concern the publishing of Reik's books and their translation.
Reik (1888-1969), of the first students of Sigmund Freud in Vienna. His doctoral thesis was the first to deal with psychoanalysis. As a Jew Reik had to leave Austria to the United States in 1938 of fear of Nazism, where he established an important institute for the study of psychoanalysis. Wrote many books, some with an introduction by Freud (as mentioned in the letters herewith).
Wolf, the recipient of the letter, served as the literary agent of Theodor Reik. 11 letters, 9 of them handwritten, 2 type-written, signed, on Reik's stationery. English.
