A booklet with twelve sermons, all delivered in the month of December in the years 1856-1873, to the Hebrew Benevolent Society of Baltimore, the first Jewish charity in Baltimore, founded in 1843. The sermons were delivered by Rabbi Henry Hochheimer, who had served as the city's rabbi in the years 1849-1859.
