The illustrator Else Wenz-Viëtor (1882-1973), was an important German Art Nouveau style artist, with a sensitive perception of nature – animals and plants. The story "Wedding in the Forest" is a translation from a German story by Adolf Holst. The book tells the story of a wedding of dwarfs and little animals in the forest and is illustrated with charming illustrations.
[14] pages, 12.5 cm. Fair-good condition, spots on the binding and on some of the leaves. Damages (restored) around the edges of several leaves, detached bindings.
