Shalom Medina was born in San'a in 1915. Immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1935, after wandering with his father through Yemen, Aden and Abyssinia. Published stories, essays, studies and poems in various anthologies and periodicals: "Davar", "Davar LeYaladim", "Chugim", Shluchot, "Lapid", "HaMessilah" and more.
The collection includes documents of the "Alliance of Yemenites"; brochures and papers edited by Medina; leaflets and brochures published by Yemenite Jews; letters sent to Medina (including letters from the author Yehiel Habshush); newsletters of Kibbutz Givat Brenner; Medina's manuscripts: essays, poems and stories from 1930s-40s; and more.
