Ze'ev Raban, original sketch for "Lishkat HaMitzpah" of the Freemasons. Eretz Israel, 1934.
Watercolor and ink on thick paper. Ink-stamped: "Ze'ev Raban, workshop for industrial art (former Gur-Aryeh and Raban), Bezalel, Yerushalm."
Sketch for a medal, with an image of a Greek Temple façade in the center. Between the two pillars, a Tower rising above the mountains. Sun rays on top of the tower with the inscription "Mitzpah". On the gable appear a vegetal pattern and the inscription "Mitzpah Lodge S.C. 1383". Emblems of the Freemasons on the base of the pillars and a verse from Genesis, 31:49. Inscribed around the temple, in an ancient Hebrew script "Yerushelm, Yehudah, 1934".
