Shomo D.Y.”. Baranovichi, December 1934. Rabbi Shomo David Yehoshua Weinberg (1913-1944), fourth rebbe of the Slonim dynasty, only son and successor of his father, author of Beit Avraham. Despite his early coronation at the age of twenty, he was considered as one of the Chassidic leaders of the Jewry in
Poland. During the Holocaust he suffered greatly, however always mentioned that which is stated in the Holy Zohar – that the Almighty colors his garment in blood of martyred Jews. Murdered by the Nazis on Friday, Cheshvan 1944.
