A poster in color calling the public to donate money to "LaAm BeMatzor" fund. An illustration of a group of illegal immigrants on board of a ship with an Israeli flag. On the lower part appears the slogan "Shechem Ehad LaAm BeMatzor" from Haim Nachman Bialik's poem "Birkat Am" ("Techezakna").
"The Popular Fund for a Nation under Siege" was founded in 1947 destined to aid the illegal immigration and families of Jewish prisoners arrested by the British. 47X67 cm, framed 59.5X79.5 cm. Good condition. Folding marks. Minor foxing marks. Lower right corner is missing. Mounted on acid-free paper.
