Bound before title leaf is a long dedication: "This is a gift sent with joy and happiness… to the dearer than rubies and topaz named Yuda, Head of the Gomlei Chassadim Society…his lofty family…merit of forefathers protect him…and the merit of his rabbi… Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Azulai…Yehuda Azulai".
