A letter of recommendation for an outstanding student of the Torah V'Da'at Yeshiva [student of Rabbi Eliyahu Chazan], who is immigrating to Eretz Yisrael to study Torah. Handwritten and signed by Rabbi Ya'akov Kamenetsky a Head of the “Torah V'Da'at” Yeshiva, Brooklyn N. Y.
Rabbi Ya'akov Kamenetsky (1891-1986), an outstanding disciple of the “Saba of Slobodka”, served in the rabbinate in Lithuania and in the USA, where he served most of his life as head of a yeshiva. One of the heads of “Mo'etzet Gedolei HaTorah” in the USA, a leader of Charedi Jews and one of the key builders of the Torah world in his times.
