Letter in handwriting and signature of Rabbi Yisrael Binyamin Bendet Feivelson. Interesting recommendation letter for "Beit Yosef" Yeshiva – Novardok, along with description of history of the Yeshiva following the Russian revolution. [Shokian-Lithuania, 1932].
“… the good news has reached us that G-D rescued the remaining ‘Beit Yosef’ from the upheaval and the noble and invaluable Jews… escaped with G-D’s mercy from the bloody country… and after enduring much hardship they arrived at a safe haven in Dvinsk… writing with tearful joy… in honor of G-D and his Torah…”.
The Ga’on Rabbi Yisrael Binyamin Bendet Feivelson (1865-1937), student of Yeshivot Kelm and Volozhin, among prominent rabbis of Lithuania. In 1898 Av Beit Din in Basiglio and from 1924 Av Beit Din in Shokian. Authored many books in Halacha and Aggada [see attached material].
