Passover Haggadah. [Members of] "Machar". [Kfar Saba/Gevaram], 1943.
Non-traditional Haggadah. On the last three pages: "this is the story of the eighth year" telling the story of Kibbutz Gevaram on the lands of Sumsum: "Machar" group was founded in Germany in 1935. Upon arrival in Eretz Israel the group joined "Hakibbutz HaMeuchad" and was sent for training and temporary works in Kfar Saba. The members established Kibbutz Gevaram next to the Arab village Sumsum in the southern coastal line. It seems that in 1943 "Gevaram" was not yet the name of the Kibbutz and some of the members were still in Kfar Saba. It was, therefore, written at the end: "This year in Kfar Saba and Sumsum and next year we shall all be in Sumsum!!!". [1], 35 pp, [1] leaf (back cover; front cover is missing), 21 cm. Good condition. Back cover detached. Stains, minor damages at borders of leaves.
