Letter of rabbinical ordination handwritten and signed by Rabbi Shlomo HaCohen Rabbi in Vilna, to Rabbi Dov Nochimovsky. Vilna, 1904.
Ordination for the rabbinate "Yoreh Yoreh Yadin Yadin", to Rabbi Dovber Nochimovsky (died 1830, Otzar HaRabbanim 4566, son-in-law of the father-in-law of Rabbi Shnuer Zalman Hirshowitz Av Beit Din of Goldingen [disciple of Rabbi Yisrael of Salant]. His son-in-law is Rabbi Eliyahu Moshe Ganchovsky.
Rabbi Shlomo HaCohen (1831-1906), was a leading rabbi and the eldest rabbi of Vilna of his generation, author of "Cheshek Shlomo", "Binyan Shlomo" etc. Colleague of the Chafetz Chaim.
