A varied and important collection from the archive of Rabbi Calfon Moshe HaCohen (1874-1950, Otzar HaRabbanim 12439) Av Beit Din of Djerba and the greatest Torah scholar of that city. Torah novellae in his handwriting. Includes many letters sent to Rabbi Calfon HaCohen from leading rabbis of Djerba and Tunis and likewise halachic decisions and manuscripts in their handwriting and with their signatures. Rabbi Calfon Moshe HaCohen (1874-1950, Otzar HaRabbanim 12439), was a leading Torah scholar in Tunis, Chief Rabbi of Djerba and author of many books. He died in Djerba before his departure to Eretz Israel and in 2006, his bones were brought to Israel with a large funeral of thousands of participants.
