Esther scroll, written in neat Ashkenazic Stam script (Beit Yosef), with serifs (Tagim). Large serif decorations at top of some columns as well as within the lines of text. 10 columns (over 3 membranes), 42 lines per column.
"HaMelech" Esther scroll (most columns headed with the word "HaMelech").


Approx. 51 cm. Fair condition. Stains, heavy wear, creases and tears, affecting text. Fading of ink and letters erased in many places. In first membrane: open tears. Placed in an old metal case, damaged and warped, with small air holes.
