Letter of authenticity enclosed (handwritten note, in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1899-1991), eldest daughter of Rebbe Rayatz: "I hereby gift… the silver candle holder for Havdalah from my great grandfather the Rebbe Maharash. He bought it during one of his foreign trips. My grandfather used it until he moved to Rostov. He gave it to me when his health started to get worse. He told me to use it when I get married. I did until World War II. When I see it it brings back a lot of memories". Dated November 5, 1989.
7X10 cm. Good condition. Small break (with loss) to shaft.

Fine snuffbox, gilt silver and enamel. Marked: Russian hallmark (St. Petersburg, 1908 onward) and maker's mark – ГП, Grigory Grigorevitch Pankratiev.
This snuffbox is mentioned in the will of Rebbe Rashab: "The Tabakerka [Russian for snuff box] made of gold and enamel I am leaving to my son [Rebbe Rayatz]" (see: Ashkavta DeRebbe, p. 138).

Challah knife, with a silver handle (French hallmarks); Paris, second half of 19th century or early 20th century.
Letter of authenticity enclosed (handwritten note, in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1899-1991), eldest daughter of Rebbe Rayatz: "I hereby gift… the challah knife of my grandfather the Rashab. He bought it in France during one of his trips there. He told me that it is our Minahag to use a smooth knife and not with jagged edges based on many Seforim. There is a French Minerva hallmark on the handle. My grandfather used this knife in Lubavitsh and Rostov".
