Seven woodcuts by Joseph Budko (1888-1940) – illustrations for Shmuel Levin's book "Chassidische Legende" (Hassidic Legends). All signed in pencil.
Woodcuts depicting the life of the Jewish Shtetl. Budko created the series of illustrations for "Chassidische Legende" in 1922. The book with his illustrations (translated into German by Arno Nadel) was published in Berlin, in the fall of 1924.
7 woodcuts: approx. 7X6 cm. to 7X9 cm. Thin paper. Good condition.
