Seder plate (Siniyya di Pisah - "The Passover Tray"). Morocco, [early 20th century].
Repoussé, engraved and embossed brass.
Three rings of decorations and text: in the center is a wine bottle with the inscription "Old Wine" and two wine glasses with the inscription "glass"; surrounding them are the Seder simanim; on the rim of the plate and near the margin is the blessing of the Three Festivals, in three circular lines, followed by the simanim "Kadesh URechatz" (the last simanim are inscribed in initials only). Suspension loop.
Diameter: 48.5 cm. Good condition. Some bends to margins. Some corrosion.
