Ga’on Rabbi Chaim Davidson (Otzar HaRabbanim 5945), famous wealthy Torah giant. Disciple of Rabbi Ya'akov of Lisa, author of Netivot HaMishpat. Born in 1760 in Pinchov to his father Rabbi David Tevel. Leader of Jewry of Warsaw and Poland, supported the Polish Uprising. Upon demise of the Chemdat Shlomo in 1839 Rabbi Chaim was appointed as chief rabbi and Av Beit Din of Warsaw, a position which he occupied for 14 years. Despite his old age, he was active and full of energy until his last days. Passed away in Adar 1854 at the age of 94.
