Ketubah (marriage contract), recording the marriage of Ephraim son of Yitzchak, the groom, and the bride Lea daughter of Moshe. Akhaltsikhe, Georgia, 1891.
Marginal ornaments – geometric patterns and simple vegetal images with golden ribbons, in a style characteristic of Akhaltsikhe Ketubahs.
The amount inscribed is in the currency of Russian Emperor Alexander III. The witness "Ya'akov ben Moshe" signed in Hebrew while the other witnesses signed in Kartvelian (Georgian).
On the reverse appears a list of dowry objects included in the amount of the Ketubah (gold, gold rings, silverware and copperware, clothes, silk fabrics and more).
25 Ketubot from Georgia are documented in the Ketubot collection of the National Library of Israel, only two of them from the city of Akhaltsikhe.
